Spent my last day of vacation a Meyer Park in Spring, TX with my Sony NXR-NX5U. Just a little practice, as it's been a year since back surgery. It's so nice to get around without all the pain.

Now the work of putting together my first documentary starts.

Also learning to do more with Sony Vegas Pro 10.

Sony HXR-NX5U night shots. All video was shot at 1920x1080 24p FX. The first 30 seconds are of a Halloween party shot with 9db gain and 1/48 sec shutter, hand held. Trust me, it was darker than what you see in the video.

The last 6 seconds where shot Nov 5th (9:46 CDT, N30:00, W95:35) at 1/3 shutter, F3.4, -3db, zoom Z99 with digital extender, auto iris. It's Jupiter and it's four largest moons, Io, Europa, Ganymede, and Callisto.

I shot this video of a pair of Egyptian Geese that stopped at Meyer Park in Spring, TX on their travels to who knows where. These birds are natives of South Africa. Seems they've come a long ways.
